Mehrabad International Airport, as one of the most important and busiest domestic air transport hubs in Iran, plays a key role in hosting passengers and connecting the country’s various provinces.

The airport handles 390 to 430 takeoffs and landings per day, making it one of the busiest domestic airports in the country. With annual passenger traffic exceeding 35 million, Mehrabad is, in a sense, the beating heart of Iran\u2019s domestic air travel. An average of one flight every 3 minutes at this airport reflects the high volume of operations and its importance in the country\u2019s air network. Each flight carries approximately 130 passengers on average, illustrating the airport\u2019s high passenger-carrying capacity.
