that: \u201cphotography has the capacity to provide images of man and his environment that are both works of art and moments in history\u201d. Pezhman Ziaian formed his artistic perspective on this same belief. Since childhood he had a strong interest in painting, and in his teens he earned a place for using colored pencils. His strong desire was to capture the moment, which led him to gravitate toward photography, and through this path he was able to capture the moment much faster than painting on a canvas, through the camera lens.    <br>Pezhman Ziaian was born on October 20, 1966 in Tehran and completed his education in Shiraz. During his elementary school, he attended calligraphy classes with Master Hamid Dirin and learned professional photography in the presence of the country\u2019s veteran photographer \u201cChehre Negar.\u201d At the age of 17, he won his first national award in photography. In 1996, the German newspaper \u201cGeneral Anzeiger Bonn\u201d Magazine awarded him the prize for the Best Photo of the Year. He earned this prize for a series of portraits of a child with exceptionally expressive facial expressions.<br>He graduated with a Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Photography from the University of California, Berkeley, and as a professional photographer, he first exhibited his works in 1990 at the Garden of Afiabada Gallery in Shiraz, marking the beginning of a career that has since exhibited more than 175 other exhibitions in Iranian cities as well as European and American countries, in front of his photography enthusiasts.<br>This creativity and capability led him to establish the first advertising company in Fars Province about thirty years ago, named \u201cPezhhan,\u201d which began with the slogan \u201cPezhhan: The Realization of a Dream.\u201d It has now become one of the country&#8217;s reputable advertising brands and, in most provinces, has media spaces.     <br>The milestone of Pezhhan\u2019s cultural and advertising ideas was aerial photography with a helicopter over the dream city of the world (Dubai), which lasted four years and resulted in the book \u201cDubai, A View from Above,\u201d printed in a very beautiful format and translated and published in several international languages. The majestic perspective that Pezhman\u2019s lens created in this work led to the pictorial books \u201cYad Bad \u2013 To Be Remembered\u201d, \u201cMorning Breeze\u201d, and \u201cKhalvat Gozide &#8211; Hermit\u201d. The images, due to their captivating nature, drew visitors to admiration at several exhibitions. His exclusive photographs, in the year 2013, coinciding with the fortieth anniversary of the United Arab Emirates&#8217; independence, were displayed at Terminal 1 of Dubai International Airport as a visual history of the formation of the United Arab Emirates, and the exhibition has been permanently open to enthusiasts.   <br>Alongside his achievements in photography, authoring books, and playing a fundamental role in forming a team to create Iran\u2019s first and most comprehensive virtual encyclopedia named Aryanica, Pezhman Ziaian has continued to contribute.<br>The establishment of a dedicated children\u2019s photography studio named \u201cBABY FACE PHOTO\u201d began in the United Kingdom, with branches later in Dubai and several cities in Iran, reflecting his high-spirited, creative mindset.<br>The Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, in recognition of his artistic contributions over thirty years of innovative services at a special ceremony coinciding with the 22nd International Book Fair, presented him a certificate of appreciation as a distinguished artist in the presence of senior officials, and issued a commemorative stamp featuring his portrait.  <br>His deep interest in cultural activities and support for the production and publication of books led him to invest in books titled \u201cYad Bad \u2013 To Be Remembered\u201d, \u201cMorning Breeze\u201d, and \u201cKhalvat Gozide &#8211; Hermit\u201d, in which selected photographs were presented alongside his own photographs.<br>As a result of more than 35 years of activity in cultural, social, and artistic fields, he has earned more than 120 certificates of honor, 90 letter of appreciation, and 160 trophies awarded by government centers and organizations.<br>In this period, he also obtained 19 scientific and educational certificates.  <br>In 2019, the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Iran awarded him the highest artistic honor of the country, recognizing him as a distinguished and renowned artist. This prestigious title was accompanied by the conferment of a Doctorate in Photography. <br>The collection that has brought him fame and honor includes more than 35,000 frames of photographs from across Iran and some countries around the world, preserving with it the years of ups and downs he has endured.<br>He considers his life to be only three hours long.
