Mahshahr International Airport
The Petrochemical Special Economic Zone of Iran is located in Mahshahr port in the south of the country. Therefore, Mahshahr has become the most important Petrochemical base in Iran. Currently, there are 148 flights from Mahshahr airport to Isfahan, Shiraz, Mashhad, Tabriz, and Assaluyeh, and vice versa, per week. When the flight from Tehran to Mahshahr starts, the number of flights from the airport will be doubled.
According to the latest statistics, the number of incoming and outgoing passengers to and from Mahshahr airport is 400,000 to 500,000, annually.
